Jimmy Fallon hosts 'The Tonight Show'
It's the most wonderful time of the year — unless you're a fan of late-night talk shows.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, along with several other shows of its type, won't be producing new episodes the week of Christmas. (Cue the collective boos from the audience.)

But the break does mean that viewers can catch up on some episodes from the last few weeks that they missed or want to watch again.
On Monday, the episode from Dec. 7, which Fallon cohosted with Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, just after the return of her sci-fi show, will air again. Fallon also welcomed Kenan Thompson, from his own former show Saturday Night Live, and musical artist Burna Boy.
Tuesday's rerun — the Dec. 17 broadcast — features appearances by Marty Supreme star Timothée Chalamet, Stranger Things creators the Duffer Brothers, and music's Bleachers, with Jack Antonoff.
There will be no show on Wednesday, as Fallon will be preempted for Christmas Eve Mass, which will be led by Pope Leo XIV from St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.
But it'll be back on Thursday, with a rerun from Dec. 10, for those who'd like a laugh to end their day of festivities. Look for another helping of conversation with actors Kate Hudson, from the movie Song Sung Blue, and John Stamos, most recently of TV's The Hunting Wives and Palm Royale. They will be joined by musicians Lily Allen and Laufey.
The Tonight Show will close out the week on Friday with what originally aired on Dec. 8. Actresses Mila Kunis (Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery) and Zooey Deschanel (Merv and, at this time of year, Elf), OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, and soul band St. Paul & the Broken Bones all appeared.
Fallon is still going strong after having taken the reins of NBC's storied late-night program formerly hosted by comedians such as Johnny Carson, Jay Leno, and Conan O'Brien, in 2014. This despite President Donald Trump having said in July that the SNL alum would be one of the "next to go in the untalented Late Night Sweepstakes," while voicing his displeasure with Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel.

For his part, Fallon has said that his strategy is simply to make people laugh, even in a politically charged climate.
"Our show has never really been that political," Fallon said in a September interview with CNBC's Squawk on the Street. "We hit both sides equally, and we try to make everybody laugh, and that's really the way our show works. Our monologues are kind of the same that we've been doing since Johnny Carson was hosting The Tonight Show. So really, I just keep my head down and make sure the jokes are funny."
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on NBC.
