The Love Is Blind hosts celebrated their daughter Brooklyn's 11th birthday with a "spontaneous" trip to Disney, sharing pictures from their family of five's outing in a joint post on Instagram. The former boyband member, 52, and the NCIS Hawai'i actress, 45, included some pictures with their little girl, a picture of all of their kids and one of their daughter jumping with an excited expression on her face.
"Spontaneous Disney Day is ALWAYS a great idea!" Vanessa wrote in the caption for the post. "Perfect day celebrating our special gal turning 11! We LOVE our Belly B… more than words can ever express! 1/5/15 ♥️💫"

In addition to their daughter, Nick and Vanessa are also parents to two sons: Phoenix, 9, and Camden, 13. While speaking with PEOPLE for his partnership with Purina, the Perfect Match host shared how important it is to be a united front when it comes to parenting. Nick told PEOPLE that he and Vanessa try to be on the same page when it comes to raising their three children.
"Dad's probably a little more stern when it comes to discipline, but Mom is as well when she has to be. I think we do flip-flop on that regard," he explained. "It's important to be united. You never want your kids to be mad at one parent and then find reprieve with the other. You've got to be on the same page as parents and be consistent."
"I think that's what kids crave — consistency," he added. "As long as you are consistent and you're on the same page, you're going to be all right."
In a 2024 interview with PEOPLE, Vanessa opened up about parenting her kids with her musician husband, sharing that there's one rule that the two never forget.
"The one thing that we've always agreed on is that we will always, always let our children know how much we love them," Vanessa said. "It sounds so simple, but I didn't have that constant affirmation, physically and verbally, when I was younger."
"I mean, of course you know you're loved, but do you really? And sometimes, you like to hear it and you like to feel it," she added. "And so, I don't think that we've ever talked about, 'This is what we have to do,' but between the two of us, we know our kids need to always know they're loved, especially after a disciplinary moment."

While the Lacheys' three children are growing up in the digital age and have two parents in the spotlight, Vanessa shared in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in March 2024, that her children won't be on social media anytime soon.
"I actually signed a pact when I was on the mainland with the school that we wouldn't let our kids have phones until they were in sixth grade," Vanessa told PEOPLE.
The family of five previously lived in Hawaii, where the actress filmed NCIS. "I've since left that school, but I still believe in that."
